Dr. Homa Hashime, Licensed Acupuncturist

Acupuncture Services

Dr. Homa Hashime accomplished her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine in Bastyr University, Washington State in 2003. Her training includes treating various acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease, depression, anxiety, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, allergies, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, dysmenorrhea, infertility, migraine headaches, etc using varies methods in alternative medicine, which includes Botanical Medicine, Homeopathy, Clinical Nutrition, Naturopathic manipulation, Craniosacral therapy, prevention and lifestyle counseling.

She practiced as a naturopathic doctor in Washington DC and Virginia for a few years. Then her passion for learning more drove her to achieve her Master’s in the most ancient form of healing medicine, Acupuncture from Tai Sophia Institute, Maryland. Currently, she is licensed as an acupuncturist by State of Maryland as well as nationally by NCCAOM. Dr. Hashime is also an Advanced Detoxification Specialist with comprehensive experience in auricular acupuncture for addiction. As a licensed acupuncturist she is trained in treating individuals constitutionally and symptomatically using the Five Element as well as TCM methods of acupuncture (an ancient modality of treatment used for over 5000 years).

What makes Dr. Hashime and her approach unique (besides her qualifications and knowledge about human physiology and pathology as well as various forms of healing) is her passion for helping individuals reach their goal, whether it is health related or it is personal growth. She strongly believes in the power of acupuncture as well as naturopathic medicine and wants to share this gift through partnership with her patients. This medicine works because it moves blockage out of the way, so energy can flow and healing can begin.
